After living  in the UK I now call Australia home.  I live in the picturesque Southern Highlands, just over one hour’s drive from Sydney.</span></p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Helvetica,Sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: #a98a63; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Sans-serif; font-size: 12px; color: #ebb460;"><strong>Past and Present</strong><br />
I have been drawing and painting all my life. After producing sculptures in clay, having a business designing and producing knitwear, as well as a silk painting business I returned to my favourite pass time: painting and drawing. Mostly I consider myself self-taught with some part-time classes and workshops with top Australian artists. I also did a term at Julian Ashton’s  in Sydney which was very really enjoyable and beneficial. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Sans-serif; font-size: 12px; color: #ebb460;"><strong>My Work As An Artist</strong><br />
The preferred mediums used are pencil, watercolour and oils. So far I’ve enjoyed painting a wide variety of subjects. Mainly I paint the nature and paint ‘plein air’ whenever the opportunity arises.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Sea and landscape painting is done in oils only at the moment, whereas flora, fauna, animals and portraits are executed in a variety of mediums depending on the subject matter.</p>
<p style="font-family: Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Helvetica,Sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: #a98a63; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Sans-serif; font-size: 12px;"><span style="color: #ebb460;"><strong>Animals And Wildlife<a href="http://www.gabriellemarlowartgallery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Cocketoo_web.jpg"></a><a href="http://www.gabriellemarlowartgallery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Cocketoo_web2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-215" title="Cocketoo" src="http://www.gabriellemarlowartgallery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Cocketoo_web2.jpg" alt="" width="195" height="288" /></a><br />
</strong><br />
It is my aim to become a painter of endangered wildlife within the natural environment.  To commence this I started painting domestic animals as they are easy access for reference.<br />
Besides doing colour studies and sketching them live I find working from photographs gives the most accurate results when it comes to the expression of their personality.<br />
When people viewed these latest artworks I received a number of commissionst straight away, which was great.  If you wish to commission me for a portrait of any animal from your most prized photographs please CONTACT me.</span></span></p>
<p>I am also available to paint your favourite land/seascapes or homes and gardens.<span style="color: #e3bb7e;"> </span></p>
